Mike Tyson Denied Entry Into Chile

Former boxing champ Mike Tyson was turned away at the Chilean border on Thursday after failing to meet immigration requirements to enter the country.
The athlete-turned-actor arrived in Santiago to attend an awards ceremony for action films, but he was barred from entering the nation by immigration officials, reports Reuters.
Local authorities revealed Tyson would be sent back to his native U.S., but did not share the exact reason for his deportation.
“Detectives from the International Police are re-boarding Mike Tyson for not complying with immigration law,” read a statement posted on the police force’s official Twitter page, alongside a photo of the star being escorted through the airport terminal by two officers.
Tyson has yet to comment on the incident.
He served three years of a six-year sentence after he was convicted of rape in 1992.
He previously encountered similar issues in New Zealand in 2012, when authorities revoked an entry visa for the 51-year-old after charity bosses withdrew their support for the sportsman over his criminal history.
