Justin Bieber Skipping Grammys To Focus On New Album – Report

Justin Bieber is reportedly set to skip the Grammy Awards for the second year in a row as he wants to focus on recording his new album.
The Sorry singer, 23, is nominated for three prizes, all for his collaboration with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee on the hit remix of their track Despacito, a song that topped charts around the world last summer.
Sources tell TMZ.com the Canadian superstar will not attend the ceremony in Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday as he wants to work on new material.
Luis and Daddy Yankee are expected to perform Despacito at the bash, as they did at the Latin Grammys last year. The track is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
In 2017, Justin reportedly skipped the event because he, “doesn’t think the Grammys are relevant or representative, especially when it comes to young singers.”
Despite receiving four nods, the star told his fans on Instagram that he was heading out for sushi. Although he has received 10 Grammy nominations over the years, Justin has only won one, the Best Dance Recording prize he received for Where Are U Now, his collaboration with Jack U.
JAY-Z, who is already a 21-time Grammy winner, leads the nominees at the 2018 Grammys, having secured eight nods, one more than fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.
The 60th annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by British funnyman James Corden and will air on CBS.
